Campus Technology Committee

Mission and Purpose

The Campus Technology Committee (CTC) is a campus level committee that provides advisement to the President’s Advisory Council (PAC). CTC will make recommendations on the use of Information Technology, including Academic Technology and Instructional Technology and related policies for the delivery of such technologies. CTC coordinates with campus constituents on implementation as directed by PAC. CTC has conversations with DTC to provide campus specific technology recommendations in consultation with PAC as appropriate.

At the direction of PAC, the Campus Technology Committee (CTC) is charged with creating policies and providing recommendations for campus technology uses that improve student success and educational experiences at the College. CTC shall also solicit proposals and recommendations for PAC to consider from representatives of academic and non-academic areas relating to their use of technology.

Campus Technology Committee will:

    1. Coordinate the technology needs of the campus with the College goals and the Fullerton College Educational Master Plan, and related strategic Technology and Student Services plans
    2. Coordinate a shared vision of the utilization of technology to facilitate learning
    3. Address technology and infrastructure issues
    4. Gather information regarding technology related needs and concerns and make recommendations regarding the implementation and support of the technology needs
    5. Promote effective and efficient use of technology
    6. Develop partnerships among campus programs and departments
    7. Assist the College in the avoidance of technological duplications
    8. Identify, prioritize, and recommend levels of staffing for technology
    9. Develop an ongoing comprehensive College Technology Plan for consideration by PAC
    10. Recommend funding strategies and priorities for major technology spending
    11. Share regular reports to and from the District Technology Committee (DTC) and review and respond to DTC as appropriate
    12. Report and make recommendations to Faculty Senate and the Vice President of Instruction on solutions for instructional issues and trends
    13. Report and make recommendations to PAC regarding training involving campus technologies
    14. Recommend policies, procedures, and guidelines for the use of technology on campus
